This year, I am honored to run in the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon with the National Kidney Foundation in memory of Lori Welty—a woman who held a special place in my heart. Lori was like a second mother to me and a beloved friend to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her strength, kindness, grace, and infectious sense of humor left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Her passing from kidney cancer in November 2022 was a deeply heartbreaking loss.
Through this race, I hope to celebrate Lori’s incredible life while supporting others affected by kidney cancer. By contributing to my campaign, you’ll be helping to fund critical research, provide essential resources, and offer hope to those navigating this difficult journey.
