Why I Run
Hi! I’m Cailin and I’m running the New York City Marathon with Team Kidney because PKD is part of my life every day. I live with Polycystic Kidney Disease, a condition that slowly damages the kidneys and has no cure.
In 2024, I lost my dad to this disease. Running this marathon is my way of taking action in his memory while raising hope for myself and everyone else living with PKD. Every step I take is a reminder that even in the face of something I can’t control, I can still fight, advocate, and run 26.2 miles while doing it.
Your support helps fund research, treatments, and resources for people like me, and it means the world to know I’m not running this journey alone.
