I’m running the New York City Marathon in support of the National Kidney Foundation, an organization that has become incredibly important to me and my family. Kidney disease changed our lives when my sister, Meghan, was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease and ultimately found herself in desperate need of a life-saving transplant. Throughout that journey, the National Kidney Foundation provided invaluable resources, education, and support—helping our family navigate an incredibly challenging and uncertain time.

Our story took an extraordinary turn when my wife, Kerri, made the incredibly selfless decision to donate her kidney to Meghan. Today, I’m grateful to say that both Kerri and Meghan are doing amazingly well post-transplant. Running 26.2 miles is my way of honoring their strength, celebrating the gift of life, and giving back to an organization that does so much for families like ours. Every donation to the National Kidney Foundation helps provide critical support, advocacy, education, and resources to people affected by kidney disease. I’m incredibly grateful for any contribution you can make as I run for Kerri, for Meghan, and for every family whose life has been touched by kidney disease.
