Why I Run
As an Internal Medicine resident physician, I am treating patients with kidney disease every single day. I have found that the reality of how devastating kidney disease is often discovered much too late. In the early stages, you usually do not feel any symptoms, so unless you are getting routine lab work you may not know you have it. I believe that prevention is the most important treatment for kidney disease, and learning about the causes so that I can keep my patients informed. I am running for all of my patients who have kidney disease and to stand with them as they fight against their disease!
