Why I Run

At my core, I hold onto the belief that humanity is good. When I discovered what a kidney donation chain was, it strengthened that fundamental feeling. One altruistic person can make a difference in dozens, if not hundreds of people.

37 million American adults are living with kidney disease. 100,000 are waiting on a transplant list in America. I'm convinced more people would be willing to help if given the guidance to do so.

The National Kidney Foundation provides that guidance and education. They were the first to identify kidney disease as a distinct, treatable illness and release and update treatment guidelines to improve patient care.
