Today, more than 90,000 people in the United States are waiting for a kidney transplant. Although more than 6,500 living donor kidney transplants and over 21,000 deceased donor kidney transplants were performed in 2025, thousands of people are still waiting because the need far exceeds the number of available organs.

As a kidney donor, I'm honored to run the New York City Marathon with Team Kidney to continue supporting this mission. I hope to use this platform to increase awareness, support kidney health, and advocate for the thousands of people whose lives depend on kidney donation.
