Jimmy's Dream Ride: Seattle to St. Paul
Why I am fundraising for National Kidney Foundation
I'm a kidney transplant recipient who was given a second chance at life. My transplant opened a door I had thought had closed. Today, I'm healthy, grateful, and ready to ride 1,900 miles across the country to help others find their own second chance.
Why This Ride?
Every day, thousands of people wait on the national transplant list, hoping for a call that will change their lives. I'm riding to celebrate the gift I received and call to action for those who can help make other dreams possible. From the shores of Puget Sound to the heart of Minnesota, every mile represents gratitude—and every donation represents hope for someone waiting.
The Journey
Departing from Seattle, Washington in summer 2027, I'll follow the Adventure Cycling Association's Northern Tier route through five states, visiting Lake Itasca (the source of the Mississippi River) before riding into St. Paul. My wife Mary will drive, support, and capture the story as it unfolds. Follow along for daily updates, rider interviews, and stories from the road, and donate here to support others so they can achieve their dreams!
