Karing For Kidneys
Why I am fundraising for National Kidney Foundation
Town Spa Pizza is a family owned and operated business in the town of Stoughton, Mass. For over 70 years we have been a favorite pizza place to our entire community and loyal patrons from all over.
The Phillips family has built relationships with so many of our regular customers, other businesses and our vendors as well. When one of our managers, a Phillips family member, was diagnosed with stage 3B kidney disease, we of course thought, What can we do? We had never hosted a walk/run, but knew our employees, patrons and community would want to be involved. Our First annual "Karing for Kidneys" Kidney Bean 5k Walk/Run was born shortly after her diagnosis.
The response we have gotten has been truly overwhelming and as predicted, our people have showed up to donate, sponsor, participate and volunteer. We are delighted to know that we will be able to hopefully make a difference as we donate to the NKF and support all the amazing work they do!
