Why Kerry and I are fundraising for National Kidney Foundation

Right now, 35.5 million American adults are living with kidney disease, and we’re not okay with that. We are sponsors  because 1 in 3 people are at risk for kidney disease and 1 in 7 people have it but aren’t aware.

Kerry was diagnosed with end-stage renal failure 3-years ago which required peritoneal dialysis. After undergoing the required screenings for a kidney donor, doctors confirmed that I was a match and cleared me to donate.

I gave Kerry the gift of life by way of a kidney transplant administered by an amazing team of doctors at the Miami Transplant Center on February 20, 2025.

Kerry and I are raising funds that support the National Kidney Foundation, who was the first to identify kidney disease as a distinct, treatable illness. They developed the staged system of kidney disease diagnosis and treatment – a worldwide standard today – and release and update treatment guidelines to improve patient care.
