Dan Emerson is a hero! 

There aren't many people who wake up one day and say "I am willing to undergo a major surgery, have an organ removed, and give it to someone I don't know" while wanting absolutely nothing in return. That takes an incredible amount of selflessness, kindness, empathy, generosity, and just GOODNESS - that's Dan! 

On June 18th of this year, Dan became a living kidney donor and didn't even see himself as doing something remarkable. He felt this was something he could and should do because he genuinely cares about other people's welfare more than his own.
