Almost one year ago, I donated a kidney to my dad. The journey was emotional but quickly became one of the most meaningful moments of my life, representing hope for the future, love, and a second chance. It meant more time, more memories, and more birthdays together with someone I care about the most. 

In just two months, I’ll be running my first ever half marathon. To celebrate not only this accomplishment but the one year anniversary of my donation, I’ve decided to fundraise for kidney disease research and awareness via The National Kidney Foundation. While I was fortunate enough to be a match for my dad, there are still so many people waiting for a transplant and so many families navigating kidney disease. For me, fundraising for this cause represents both a celebration of life and the gift of a second chance 💚 Love you dad!
