For the last years of his life, my uncle bravely battled kidney disease which progressively worsened and significantly impacted his quality of life. He had to endure countless rounds of dialysis and medical procedures, and he fought through every moment. Despite the pain and suffering, he remained grateful and full of life. My first marathon will be a tribute to his unmatched strength and resilience.
