My 2025 TCS New York City Marathon Fundraising Page
Clark Palicka
My wife Jennifer and I are running the New York Marathon for Team Kidney because kidney disease has changed our family's life. My brother manages dialysis three times a week while juggling work and school, and my mom has been dealing with kidney issues for years. Both will eventually need transplants, and timing and availability of that is something that weighs heavily on our family and so many others.
As a brother and a son, it can make you feel a little helpless to know your loved ones are facing challenges you can't solve for them. But as a New Yorker, running these 26.2 miles through my hometown gives Jenn and I a way to be part of something bigger – something that can achieve good at scale. We're channeling our energy toward the National Kidney Foundation to progress kidney health through research and treatment advances.
The experience of my mom an brother has opened our eyes to how widespread this condition is – 37 million American adults are living with kidney disease, with 1 in 3 people at risk and more than 1 in 7 having it without knowing. Every mile we run supports better treatments, earlier detection and a brighter future for those affected by kidney disease. Any donation made to this fundraising effort will go directly to the National Kidney Foundation.
Thank you for your support!
