Why I Run
Clark and I are running the New York Marathon for Team Kidney because kidney disease has touched our family personally. My brother-in-law manages dialysis three times a week while balancing work and school, and my mother-in-law has been dealing with kidney issues for years. Both will eventually need transplants.
Their experience opened our eyes to how common this is – 37 million American adults are living with kidney disease, with 1 in 3 people at risk and more than 1 in 7 having it without knowing. We're running for the National Kidney Foundation to advance care and research to the greatest extent possible.
Every mile we run supports better treatments, earlier detection and a brighter future for those affected by kidney disease. Any donation made to this fundraising effort will go directly to the National Kidney Foundation.
Thank you for your support!
